Making the level (Part 3)
Finally, I made the fuel containing area. This area is quite small, but is the final part of your mission. There are several guards in this area that the player must kill; after killing them all, the player must then go and sabotage the fuel supply by using the console. then the player makes their getaway on the conveniently spawned Cicada down the hill before the
Making the level (Part 2)
Then, I made the actual city, using a static mesh of a city. Unfortunately, this mesh didn't have collision boxes so I had to make my own. This took most of the time in the city. After that, I put random upgrades and health regeneration items around the city to help the player out.
Making the level (Part 1)
I began with laying out the level and seeing how I wanted the city to look. The player starts off in a forest just outside of the city and must first kill a guard to enter the city. I also made a fly around of the city so the player can see what the city looks like before actually taking on anything.
The Story
You are a saboteur from the town of Dworfengaf and are sent to your enemy's city of Yogofal to sabotage their fuel supply. You must make it through the city and get into the fuel area as quickly and quietly as possible. Then, you must fight the guards protecting the fuel since word has spread that there was a saboteur in the city. as soon as you make it to the fuel center, you must sabotage it and then make your escape.
The beginning
My level is based on stealth (although that's hard to do in UDK with the current AI system...). I wanted to base it off of the sneaking around in Far Cry along with some Assassin's Creed. This was hard to do, and I don't think I did exactly what I wanted, but I made it to the best of my abilities.
